Narrabri and Gunnedah councils establish new leadership teams

Local councils across the region are establishing leadership teams for the upcoming term. In Narrabri, Cr Darrell Tiemens was re-elected unopposed as mayor of the Narrabri Shire Council. He expressed his commitment to serving the entire shire, including its smaller towns and villages.

Cr Brett Nolan was also re-elected unopposed as deputy mayor of Narrabri. In Gunnedah, the council held discussions regarding the voting procedures for the mayor and deputy positions. Other regional leaders identified include Gunnedah mayor Colleen Fuller, Liverpool Plains mayor Charlie Simkin, and Tamworth Regional mayor Russell Webb.
