Naruto franchise to announce new anime at NYCC 2026

The Naruto franchise is set to reveal major updates regarding a new limited TV anime series and the Naruto Card Game during the New York Comic Con 2026. The announcement will take place at the ‘NARUTO: What’s Next?’ panel on October 10, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The date coincides with the fictional birthday of the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki.

Scheduled guests for the panel include Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama, the original Japanese voice actors for Naruto and Sasuke, respectively, as well as Yoshihiro Tominaga, an executive producer from Studio Pierrot’s PIERROT FILMS. The event will be livestreamed globally via the official Naruto and Boruto YouTube channels.

In addition to the new anime series, the panel is expected to provide the latest information and a promotional video for the Naruto Card Game, which is slated for a global release in 2027 by Bandai. Separate reports also mention an ongoing live-action adaptation being developed by Lionsgate, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, though specific details regarding that project remain limited.
