Naruto franchise to announce new animated film at NYCC 2026

Viz Media has announced that a new Naruto animated film will be officially revealed during a special franchise panel at New York Comic Con 2026. The presentation is scheduled for October 10, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The panel is expected to include details regarding the film’s worldwide premiere, though specific information concerning the title, plot, or release date has not yet been disclosed. The event will also provide updates on the Naruto Card Game and other franchise projects.

Featured guests for the panel include Studio Pierrot executive producer Yoshihiko Tominaga, along with Japanese voice actors Junko Takeuchi (Naruto Uzumaki) and Noriaki Sugiyama (Sasuke Uchiha). This announcement follows a period of uncertainty for the franchise after previous revival projects were delayed and the Boruto series went on hiatus.
