Naruto live-action film could expand into multi-movie franchise

Reports suggest that the upcoming Naruto live-action film could evolve into a large-scale franchise consisting of seven or eight movies if the initial installment is successful. According to industry insider Daniel RPK, the proposed structure would mirror the Harry Potter film series by dividing the expansive manga story into multiple parts.

The potential plan involves using approximately three films to cover the original Naruto series, followed by an additional three or four movies to adapt the events of Naruto: Shippuden. While Lionsgate has not officially announced a long-term franchise plan, the project is moving toward production with Destin Daniel Cretton attached to direct and co-write alongside Tasha Huo.

A worldwide casting search is currently underway to find actors for the lead roles of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. Early reports indicate the first film may focus on the Land of Waves arc.
