Narwal unveils Freo 20 robotic cleaners at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Narwal unveiled its 2026 Fall lineup, focusing on expanding its FlowWash mopping technology to a broader consumer base. The company introduced the Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge robotic vacuum and mop combo, alongside the V50 Cube handheld vacuum.

The new Freo 20 features the FlowWash system, which utilizes a flattened microfiber track mop to provide seven times more contact area than traditional designs. The system employs 16 nozzles to supply continuous 60°C hot water for cleaning, while an integrated scraper removes dirt and wastewater in real time. The device offers 31,000 Pa of suction power and uses the NarMind Pro AI system with dual RGB cameras to recognize over 300 types of objects.

The Freo 20 Edge is a more compact, slim version measuring 95 mm in height, designed to reach under furniture, though it lacks the advanced object recognition found in the standard Freo 20. Narwal CEO Junbin Zhang stated that the goal is to bring high-end mopping expertise to more homes while expanding into new cleaning categories.
