NASA Ames Research Center to host lunar landing simulation tours
NASA is hosting media tours of a new lunar landing simulation at the Ames Research Center in California on October 29 and 30. The simulation utilizes in-house and partner motion-based technology to provide astronauts and engineering teams with realistic experiences prior to piloting commercial human landing systems to the Moon.
Developed by NASA’s Johnson Space Center, the simulation is part of the Artemis program, which aims for the next lunar landing in 2028. The program focuses on missions near the lunar South Pole to establish a long-term human presence and prepare for future crewed missions to Mars.
