NASA and NFL partner for space innovation tour

NASA has launched a new collaboration with the National Football League (NFL) called the Inspiration Tour. The initiative aims to showcase American space exploration and aeronautics innovation through fan engagement, astronaut appearances, and aircraft flyovers at NFL games across the United States.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman stated that the partnership provides a platform to inspire future generations regarding the agency’s goals, such as returning to the Moon, establishing a Moon Base, and advancing fission-powered spacecraft. The scheduled flyovers will feature NASA’s fleet of aircraft used for high-speed testing, high-altitude research, and astronaut training, demonstrating technologies that may eventually impact commercial air travel.

Planned game appearances include matchups in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and East Rutherford. The tour is intended to connect the public and various stakeholders with the technologies driving American leadership in space.
