NASA awards EarthDaily $3 million task order for Landsat integration
NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) have awarded EarthDaily a $3 million task order to evaluate the integration of commercial Earth observation data into federal land imaging programs. The contract supports the Sustainable Land Imaging (SLI) commercial transition initiative, which seeks to determine how commercial capabilities can complement government systems like Landsat.
Under this agreement, NASA and the USGS will assess EarthDaily Constellation data against Landsat standards, focusing on data quality, calibration, stability, and geometric performance. The initiative also aims to explore how commercial observations can facilitate the development of AI-ready Earth observation products for modern machine-learning workflows.
