NASA Crew-12 astronauts to hold live press conference from ISS

NASA has announced a live news conference scheduled for September 16 at 2:45 p.m. EDT, featuring the astronauts of the SpaceX Crew-12 mission broadcasting from the International Space Station (ISS). The international crew includes NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.

The crew will discuss their mission accomplishments and their upcoming return to Earth. During their time aboard the ISS, integrated with Expeditions 74 and 75, the team conducted hundreds of experiments aimed at preparing for human exploration beyond low Earth orbit. Key research areas included the on-demand generation of intravenous fluids for long-duration missions and studying pneumonia-causing bacteria to improve cardiovascular treatments on Earth.

The Crew-12 team is scheduled to depart the station following the arrival of the Crew-13 mission and a brief handover period. Mission teams will monitor weather conditions at splashdown sites off the California coast prior to their departure.
