NASA physicist reports unexplained UFO encounter in Florida

Dr. Charles Buhler, a physicist at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, has detailed an unexplained encounter with unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that occurred in 2014 near Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Buhler reported seeing a luminous orb over the Atlantic Ocean that emitted an intense flash, bright enough to cast shadows on nearby buildings. Following the sighting, a military helicopter from Patrick Air Force Base arrived to investigate the object but departed without apparent intervention. Buhler speculated that military personnel may have concluded the phenomenon did not represent a known threat.

According to the account, after the helicopter left, the orb approached the coastline, reaching approximately 60 meters from the shore, before splitting into five or six smaller, basketball-sized lights. These objects reportedly moved in a wheel-like rotation, alternating between the air and the water, and appeared to follow Buhler and his wife as they attempted to move away. The incident lasted roughly 45 minutes before the lights disappeared into the ocean.
