NASA Space Apps Challenge to feature student projects on Moon and Mars
University students are preparing projects for the NASA Space Apps Challenge, scheduled for November 14-15. Under this year’s theme, “The Next Frontier,” participants will utilize open data provided by NASA and its partner space agencies to develop solutions for real-world problems ranging from Moon and Mars research to artificial intelligence.
The initiative aims to involve young people in the space sector and bring together participants from various disciplines. Local organizers in Turkey are working to integrate students into space studies. Samet Karakaş, a local leader for the challenge in Adana and a student at Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, noted that the goal is to create an environment where students can collaborate with experts to solve actual space-related issues.
