Nasarawa State Governor announces removal of Boko Haram leaders
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule announced that security agencies have successfully dislodged Boko Haram leaders from the state. Following a joint operation involving the Police, Military, Air Force, and Navy, the governor stated that the majority of these leaders have left Nasarawa and returned to other parts of the country.
Sule explained that a group known as Darusalam, which had moved from Niger State around 2016, settled in the Toto Local Government Area. This group had reportedly established ties with Boko Haram and paid allegiance to the organization. The governor advised residents not to panic regarding the movement of the group from Borno State to Nasarawa.
