Nasarawa State Governor honored by Nigerian Society of Engineers

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has presented the Presidential Merit Award to Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule. The award recognizes the administration’s investments in infrastructure, technical training, and human capital development.

During an inspection tour, the NSE assessed several state projects, including the Mararaba and Keffi flyovers, which are currently under construction. The team also reviewed educational facilities such as the Faculty of Engineering at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and various vocational and polytechnic institutes.

A key highlight of the visit was the Diamond New Energy lithium plant in Endo. The facility has a reported processing capacity of approximately 6,000 tonnes per day and is expected to create over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs, supporting Nigeria’s efforts in local mineral processing.
