Nasarawa State gunmen abduct primary school teacher

Gunmen have abducted Amina Hussaini, a primary school teacher, from her residence in the Kuru community of Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. The abduction occurred on Tuesday while her husband was away on an official assignment in Lafia.

The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 50 million Naira for her release. According to a family member, Suwaiba Abdullahi, attempts to negotiate a lower ransom amount were unsuccessful after the abductors abruptly ended a telephone conversation with a family mediator.

The family has appealed to the public, security agencies, and the Nasarawa State Government for assistance and intervention to ensure Hussaini’s safe and unconditional release. The Nasarawa State Police Command has acknowledged reports of the incident and stated that inquiries are being made.
