Mararaba-Nyanya Flyover Nasarawa State infrastructure development road construction traffic congestion

The Nasarawa State Government has announced that the construction of the 2.6-kilometre Mararaba-Nyanya Flyover and its adjoining road project is scheduled for completion by December 2026.

Engr. Wada Yahaya, Managing Director of the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board, stated that the project aims to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity between Nasarawa State and the Federal Capital Territory. The infrastructure plan includes two flyover bridges, a 2.6km elevated road, and five pedestrian bridges to allow safe crossing without disrupting local business activities.

The total estimated cost of the project ranges between ₦43 billion and ₦44 billion. This includes approximately ₦40 billion for construction, over ₦1.1 billion for compensation, and an estimated ₦1 billion for road furniture such as signage, markings, and street lighting.
