NASCAR 26 to feature overhauled force feedback and dynamic tracks
iRacing Studios has released new details regarding NASCAR 26, which is scheduled for release in September 2026. The upcoming title aims to provide a “simcade” experience that is accessible via controllers while improving depth for dedicated sim racing hardware.
Key technical updates include a significant overhaul of the force feedback (FFB) system. Developers have gained deeper access to the underlying FFB code, allowing for substantial changes rather than minor adjustments to the previous game. The update includes a new default FFB profile and expanded calibration tools to support a wide range of hardware, from entry-level wheels to high-end Direct Drive bases.
Additional gameplay improvements feature a revised driving model, including reworked tires, more demanding braking behavior, and a Dynamic Track system where the racing surface evolves during a session. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The standard edition is priced at €61.99 with a release date of September 18, 2026, while a Gold edition offering early access is priced at €80.99.
