NASCAR drivers Cindric and Briscoe eye playoff comeback

NASCAR Cup Series drivers Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe expressed optimism regarding their championship prospects following the race at Kansas Speedway.

Austin Cindric, driving the No. 2 Ford for Team Penske, secured a second-place finish at Kansas. Currently ninth in the standings, Cindric is 140 points behind leader Kyle Larson. He noted that the upcoming schedule includes several 1.5-mile tracks, such as Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Charlotte, and Homestead, which may favor his team's recent performance improvements.

Chase Briscoe, driving the No. 19 Toyota, finished fourth at Kansas after briefly taking the lead from Kyle Larson. Despite a series of setbacks in recent races, including incidents at Darlington, Gateway, and Bristol, Briscoe remains confident in his team's speed. He faces a 123-point deficit as the Chase playoffs continue.
