NASDAQ 100 Falls 1.5% to End Friday Trading in Red

The NASDAQ 100 closed Friday 1.49% lower at 28,592.66 points after opening down 1.96% at 28,457.33. The index hit a daily high of 28,867.40 and a low of 28,231.32.

Week‑to‑date the index is down 2.98%, while year‑to‑date it has risen about 13.44% and sits near its annual high of 30,762.20 points. Top gainers included Seagate Technology (+5.66%), Lumentum (+3.77%), Nebius (+3.46%), Diamondback Energy (+2.85%) and Western Digital (+2.23%). Biggest losers were Intuitive Surgical (‑14.15%), Cadence Design Systems (‑9.47%), Synopsys (‑7.85%), Netflix (‑7.26%) and Axon Enterprise (‑5.81%).

NVIDIA recorded the largest trading volume in the NASDAQ 100, with about 38.8 million shares changing hands and a market capitalization of roughly €4.5 trillion.
