NASDAQ Composite drops 1.3% while Cisco shares stay steady

The NASDAQ Composite closed lower on Monday, slipping 1.32% to 26,166.60 points. The index recorded a intraday low of 26,125.48 and a high of 26,561.12, ending the session in the red despite a year‑to‑date gain of about 12.6%. Leading gainers on the Nasdaq included Americas Car‑Mart, AXT, ON Semiconductor, Taylor Devices and Hooker Furniture, while the biggest drags were Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, 1‑800‑FLOWERS.COM, 3D Systems, Donegal Group B and Nissan Motor. NVIDIA accounted for the highest trading volume and market‑cap weight in the index.

Cisco Systems’ stock was largely unchanged in Nasdaq trading, sitting at $121.51 at 20:26 UT. The share price moved between a low of $117.66 and a high of $122.32, with a recent 52‑week high of $130.36 reached on 5 June 2026. Cisco reported fourth‑quarter earnings of $0.85 per share, up from $0.62 a year earlier, and revenue of $15.84 billion, an 11.96% increase quarter‑over‑quarter. Dividend payouts for 2025 were $1.62 per share, with a projected $1.66 for the current year.
