NASDAQ indices climb Monday, led by tech shares
U.S. stock exchanges saw the NASDAQ 100 rise 1.26% to 29,697 points on Monday, while the broader NASDAQ Composite gained 0.97% to finish at 26,082 points. Among the NASDAQ 100's top gainers were Western Digital (+7.14%), Tesla (+6.69%), AMD (+6.61%), Astera Labs (+6.48%) and Seagate Technology (+5.86%). The index's weakest performers included Rocket Lab (-7.34%), O'Reilly Automotive (-6.66%), Keurig Dr Pepper (-4.65%), Mondelez (-2.86%) and Copart (-2.57%).
In the NASDAQ Composite, the strongest individual stocks were AXT (+13.25%), Ceva (+10.65%), Ultra Clean (+7.26%), Synaptics (+6.07%) and ON Semiconductor (+5.49%). The biggest laggards were Donegal Group B (-9.62%), O'Reilly Automotive (-5.41%), Repligen (-3.64%), the ex‑MicroStrategy entity (-3.61%) and InTest (-3.38%). NVIDIA recorded the largest trading volume and the highest market capitalisation on both the NASDAQ 100 and Composite indices.
