Nasdaq reports IPO growth driven by AI and fintech investments

Nasdaq is reporting a strong initial public offering market, recording $111 billion raised in the first half of the year. CFO Sarah Youngwood noted that investment in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and digital technologies is driving growth. The company is also focusing on its ‘Digital Liquidity Networks’ to address demand for extended trading access and digital assets.

In the fintech sector, several companies are securing funding to integrate AI into regulated financial environments. Transient has received a strategic investment from Nasdaq Ventures as part of its Series A financing. Transient provides a secure intelligence layer designed to allow banks and asset managers to deploy autonomous AI agents while maintaining strict data controls and safety guardrails.

Additionally, Abu Dhabi-based Synapse Analytics raised $13 million in a Series A round led by Partech. The company develops agentic AI decisioning infrastructure that enables credit and risk teams at financial institutions to automate processes like fraud detection and anti-money laundering within their own secure technology perimeters.
