Nashik and Trimbakeshwar prepare for Singhst Mahakumbh flag hoisting
Preparations are underway for the formal commencement of the Singhst Mahakumbh, with a flag hoisting ceremony scheduled for October 31 at 12:02 PM. The ceremony will take place simultaneously at two locations: Ramkund Ghat in Nashik and Kushavart Kund in Trimbakeshwar.
Kumbh Mela Minister Girish Mahajan chaired a preparatory meeting involving religious leaders, representatives from various Akharas, and administrative officials. The meeting focused on organizing the event according to religious traditions while managing large crowds. Key logistical priorities include security, traffic management, sanitation, parking, and emergency services.
Plans indicate that President Droupadi Murmu is expected to participate in the flag hoisting at one location, while Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will attend the ceremony at the other. Officials have been instructed to ensure all arrangements are completed in a timely manner to accommodate the anticipated influx of devotees.
