Nashik’s Niphad Dry Port to become major multi‑modal logistics hub
District Collector Ayush Prasad and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust Vice‑Chairman Ravish Kumar Singh met to advance the proposed Multi‑Modal Logistics Park at Niphad. The project will operate as both an export‑import cargo hub and an integrated domestic logistics park, offering warehousing, distribution and storage facilities for international and inland trade.
The Niphad Dry Port will be linked to the Nashik–Chennai Highway, Nashik Ring Road, Samruddhi Mahamarg, Ozar Airport and the railway network. Plans include connecting local agricultural market committees and the Centre’s largest grain‑storage scheme to improve the food‑supply chain, benefitting farmers and traders. JNPT will join the District Export Promotion Committee meeting scheduled for 4 August 2026. Officials expect the hub to boost agricultural exports, industrial activity and employment, strengthening Nashik’s role in India’s logistics and export landscape.
