Nashville Predators sign Tyson Jost to professional tryout

The Nashville Predators have signed center Tyson Jost to a professional tryout agreement (PTO) for their upcoming training camp. The 28-year-old, a former 10th overall pick by the Colorado Avalanche in 2016, is seeking to earn a regular contract after his previous one-year, two-way deal with Nashville expired.

Jost appeared in 69 games for the Predators last season, recording eight goals and 16 points. He will compete for a roster spot against players such as Alexander Kerfoot, Ross Colton, and top prospect Brady Martin, as well as KHL signee Vitali Pinchuk.

Under the terms of a PTO, Jost can participate in training camp and preseason games but is not guaranteed a regular-season contract or salary. Nashville is scheduled to begin training camp on September 16, with its first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Lightning set for September 20.
