In a separate legal matter in Greece, physician Ilias Theodoropoulos has provided a statement regarding the death of Giorgos Mazonakis. In his defense, Theodoropoulos has distanced himself from his wife, Ioanna Gaka, regarding the management of the medical practice and equipment. He claims he had no prior relationship with Mazonakis and only became involved to perform CPR after being called urgently during the incident.
