Nasielsk parish welcomes relics of Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko

The community of St. Catherine Parish in Nasielsk welcomed the relics of Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko during a solemn Mass on the first Sunday of October. The ceremony was led by Bishop Mirosław Milewski.

During the homily, Bishop Milewski highlighted Popiełuszko’s role as a symbol of faithfulness to truth and his pastoral work, including his famous ‘Masses for the Homeland.’ The Bishop emphasized the importance of standing for truth and the principle of overcoming evil with good.

In addition to the arrival of the relics, Bishop Milewski consecrated new stained-glass windows in the church. These windows feature twelve images of saints and blesseds, intended to serve as reminders for the faithful to follow the example of Jesus in their daily lives.
