The offer follows reports that Strickland declined a potential matchup at UFC 335 due to insufficient compensation from the organization. Imavov expressed his frustration on social media, stating, “If it’s really about money, I’ll put $500K of my own money on the line if you beat me in January.” He further challenged Strickland, suggesting that a refusal to accept the terms would indicate fear rather than financial concerns.

While the UFC has already filled its upcoming major event slots, including a BMF title fight between Charles Oliveira and Diego Lopes, the Strickland-Imavov rematch remains a highly anticipated possibility for the 2025 season.
