Nasuno Furusato Fireworks Festival to feature 500-drone show

The 20th Nasuno Furusato Fireworks Festival is scheduled to take place on September 19, 2026, at the Naka River Riverside Sports Park in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture. To mark this milestone anniversary, the event will feature a special drone show produced by Drone Show Japan.

Approximately 500 domestic DSJ MODEL-X drones will be used to create aerial displays of the Nasuno Mountain Range and local characters. This light show will be integrated with a traditional fireworks display consisting of roughly 20,000 shells.

The festival, which has been held every two years for over 40 years, attracted approximately 70,000 visitors during its previous iteration in 2024. The event is expected to include various food stalls and kitchen cars, running from the afternoon through the evening.
