Natael Emerenciano, former vice-mayor, dies at 81

Natael Emerenciano, a businessman and former vice-mayor, has died at the age of 81 in São João do Ivaí.

Emerenciano was a prominent figure in the local agricultural and cereal sectors, having founded the company Copragel, which has operated for over 40 years in the trade of beans, rice, and sugar. In politics, he served as vice-mayor in 1992 as part of the ticket led by José Francisco de Queiroz.

His political legacy continued through his daughter, Carla Emerenciano, who served as vice-mayor from 2013 to 2020 and later assumed the role of Mayor in 2021. He is survived by his wife, Fátima, and three children: Juleimara, Carla, and João Paulo.
