Natal cooking gas prices rise 10.67% in one year

The average price of a 13kg cooking gas cylinder in Natal has reached R$ 114, marking a 10.67% increase compared to the same period in 2025. According to research conducted by Procon Natal across 30 points of sale, the price has risen by R$ 11 over the past year.

Significant price disparities were identified between different neighborhoods. The highest price recorded was R$ 130 in the Potengi neighborhood, while the lowest was R$ 95 in Lagoa Azul, representing a difference of 36.84%. Regional averages varied, with the South Zone recording the highest average at R$ 121, while the East Zone was the only region to see a slight decrease, moving from R$ 112 to R$ 111.

Procon Natal attributed the recent price fluctuations to collective bargaining agreements, wage negotiations, and adjustments in the annual costs for distributors. The agency advises consumers to research prices and payment conditions before purchasing, noting that variations may occur based on payment methods and delivery fees.
