Natal Leads LinkedIn's 2026 'Cities in High' Job Growth Ranking in Brazil

Natal, the capital of Rio Grande do Norte, topped LinkedIn's 2026 "Cidades em Alta" list, which ranks Brazilian municipalities with the fastest proportional growth in hiring and professional attraction. The city’s surge is driven by expanding tourism, a strong renewable‑energy sector—particularly wind power—and growing demand in higher education, information technology and business‑consulting services.

The ranking excludes the country’s largest metropolises to highlight emerging employment hubs. Following Natal, the list placed Recife, Goiânia, Fortaleza and Londrina in the top five. The recognition coincides with record passenger traffic at Natal’s international airport, a 55 % rise in international tourist arrivals, and the establishment of Vestas’ regional service hub for wind‑turbine maintenance.

LinkedIn’s methodology focuses on the rate of new job postings, hiring growth and the influx of professionals, rather than absolute job numbers, underscoring Natal’s emerging status as a dynamic labor market within Brazil.
