Natalia Botnaru and Giulia Gart win Moda d’Autore fashion awards

Natalia Botnaru and Giulia Gart emerged as winners at the seventeenth edition of the ‘Moda d’Autore’ fashion competition held in Lignano Sabbiadoro. The event, hosted at the Riviera Resort Thermal Park, featured sunset runway shows showcasing designs from various young designers.

Botnaru, from Tavagnacco, secured first place in the designer category with her collection ‘Linfa vitale’. The collection features three garments utilizing satin and chiffon in petrol green and black tones, incorporating hand-applied lace branches and glass stones to symbolize personal growth and rebirth.

Giulia Gart, from Strassoldo, won the ‘Sposa d’Autore’ (Designer Bride) category. Her collection focuses on a modern, non-traditional approach to bridal wear, utilizing dark lace and bold silhouettes. Gart described her vision as a way to offer a free and sophisticated choice for brides, including the use of black to represent character and freedom.
