Natalia Germanou discusses TV competition and political conduct

During her show ‘Kalýtera De Gínetai’ on Alpha, presenter Natalia Germanou addressed her relationships with television colleagues and recent political controversies.

Regarding media competition, Germanou clarified that she does not view journalist Anastasia Giamali as a rival, despite their programs airing in the same weekend time slot. She praised Giamali’s journalistic work, stating, “the girl is killing it.” Germanou also recalled a summer phone call from Faya Skorda, noting that while media outlets attempted to frame them as rivals, they maintained mutual respect and decided no confrontation would occur.

Separately, Germanou strongly criticized New Democracy MP Makarios Lazaridis for his conduct during an on-air debate with PASOK MP Nadia Giannakopoulou. She condemned Lazaridis for making personal attacks regarding Giannakopoulou’s family, describing the behavior as “unacceptable” and “shameful.” Germanou argued that such personal attacks lower the level of political discourse and cause public aversion, emphasizing that political defense should focus on policy rather than personal insults.
