Natalia Lafourcade wraps up 'Cancionera' tour with final concerts in Mexico City

Mexican singer‑songwriter Natalia Lafourcade, 42, says she has finally embraced her multiple artistic facets and shed her fear of transformation. Over the past two years she toured worldwide with her project "Cancionera" while pregnant, describing the experience as a literal split of body and mind. She gave birth without anesthesia or epidural and continued performing, noting the physical and emotional adjustments required.

The "Cancionera" album, a homage to her origins, reached more than 200,000 listeners during the tour. Lafourcade announced that the project will conclude with two final shows on 11 and 12 October at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City, after which she plans to move on to new creations.
