Natalia Medrano Saldarriaga crowned Queen of Ibarra

Natalia Medrano Saldarriaga has been crowned the new Queen of Ibarra for the 2026-2027 term. A final-semester law student at the Universidad Técnica del Norte, Medrano won the title with a social platform focused on mental health support and assistance for women experiencing violence.

Her social project, titled ‘Voces que Inspiran’ (Voices that Inspire), aims to provide accompaniment to vulnerable populations and encourage those in difficult situations to find the strength to speak out. Medrano, who previously participated in the Miss Ecuador pageant, intends to use her reign to bring visibility to these social issues.

The newly appointed court of honor includes Katty Keery as Vice-Queen, Diana Montesdeoca as Señorita Confraternidad, and Daniela Mejía as Señorita Cultura. Janny Ortega received three designations: Señorita Fotogenia, Señorita Amistad, and Señorita Turismo.
