Natalia Oreiro discusses past trauma and her son's life

During an appearance on ‘La Noche de Mirtha’, actress Natalia Oreiro shared personal reflections regarding her past and her family. She recounted a traumatic incident from when she was 17 years old, involving a man who claimed to be her biological father while she was filming the telenovela ‘90-60-90 Modelos’.

Oreiro explained that despite the man’s claims, four separate DNA tests were conducted. The results provided a 99.9% certainty that there was no biological link to the man, instead confirming her relationship with her biological parents, Carlos Alberto Oreiro and Mabel Cristina Iglesias. The actress noted that the situation caused significant distress for her family and led to unwanted media exposure.

Additionally, Oreiro spoke about her 14-year-old son, Merlín Atahualpa. She described his diverse interests, which include playing the trumpet in a school orchestra, car mechanics, carpentry, and sailing. Oreiro emphasized her desire to raise him away from the spotlight to ensure he has a normal life outside of the entertainment industry.
