Natalie Bisaillon appointed minister for Chaudière-Appalaches and Centre-du-Québec

Natalie Bisaillon has been appointed to the Quebec Cabinet, serving as the Minister of Natural Resources and Forests, as well as the minister responsible for the Chaudière-Appalaches and Centre-du-Québec regions.

Local leaders have welcomed the appointment, noting the importance of having regional representation at the provincial decision-making table. Hugo Berthiaume, Mayor of Saint-Elzéar and representative for Chaudière-Appalaches within the Fédération québécoise des municipalités (FQM), emphasized that the region is a vital economic contributor and urged the minister to prioritize regional development and address labor shortages through a regional immigration vision.

Jean-François Houle, Mayor of Drummondville, expressed satisfaction that the Centre-du-Québec region will have a voice within the 22-member Council of Ministers. He indicated plans to discuss local priorities with the new minister, including hospital developments and funding adaptations to address homelessness.
