Natalie Erika James' film Saccharine streams on Stan from Aug 13

Australian horror film *Saccharine*, written, directed and produced by Natalie Erika James, will be released as a Stan Original on 13 August. The movie stars Midori Francis as Hana, a first‑year medical student who becomes obsessed with a controversial diet pill made from human ashes, leading her to steal cadaver bones and confront a haunting ghost.

The film premiered in the Midnight section at Sundance, later screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Sydney Film Festival, and received a theatrical run in Australia and New Zealand via Maslow Entertainment. Production was a joint effort by Carver Films, Thrum Films and Stan, with support from Screen Australia, VicScreen and XYZ Films handling worldwide sales.

*Saccharine* joins James’ previous horror successes such as *Relic* and *Apartment 7A* and adds Australian actors Danielle Macdonald and Madeleine Madden to the cast.
