Natassa Bofiliou announces Thessaloniki concert and addresses gender bias
Greek singer Natassa Bofiliou is performing a unique concert titled ‘Metrimat’ at the Theatro Gis in Thessaloniki. The performance, created alongside Themis Karamouratidis and Gerasimos Evangelatos, marks a transition point in their twenty-year collaboration. The show serves as both a retrospective of their core repertoire and a preview of new material following the release of the album ‘Ola Teleia’ under the new label ‘CUT’.
In a recent interview, Bofiliou also addressed public scrutiny regarding past comments made during her student years. She discussed the double standards faced by women in the professional sphere, noting that society often treats the opinions of women with more dismissal than those of men. She argued that gender discrimination intensifies when women express views on social or political issues, making their perspectives easier to undermine.
