Backup quarterback Nate Bennett led the Baylor Bears to a 36-19 victory over Louisiana Tech. Bennett, starting for the second consecutive week in place of the injured DJ Lagway, threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns while adding a 25-yard rushing touchdown.

Bennett completed 21 of 24 passes, including scoring connections with Louis Brown IV on a 51-yard pass and Jayden McGowan on two separate scoring strikes of 43 and 36 yards. The win moves Baylor to a 2-1 record on the season.
