Nate Burleson sparks social media debate over suit and shorts outfit

CBS Sports analyst Nate Burleson drew attention and social media criticism during a Week 2 broadcast of ‘The NFL Today’ for wearing a tailored suit paired with shorts.

During the pregame show, fellow analyst Kyle Long initiated banter by comparing Burleson’s attire to the style of Angus Young, the lead guitarist of AC/DC. Burleson defended the fashion choice, stating he wanted to enjoy the remaining warm summer days in New York before the weather turns cold, while jokingly highlighting his calves.

While the studio crew engaged in lighthearted banter, the unconventional outfit sparked a negative reaction from some viewers online. Critics on social media described the look as ‘hideous’ and compared the appearance to a clown costume.
