Natera to present Signatera MRD test data at ESMO Congress
Natera will present 20 abstracts regarding its Signatera Genome minimal residual disease (MRD) tests at the ESMO Congress in Madrid. The presentations include four Rapid-Oral presentations and focus on the high sensitivity of the latest version of the test.
The Signatera Genome variant utilizing phased and structural variants has achieved a limit of detection (LOD95) of less than one part per million, with some signals detected below one part per ten million. Minetta Liu, Chief Medical Officer for Oncology, described this sensitivity as being in a range previously unseen.
Clinical studies highlighted include the ICONIC study for gastric and esophageal cancer, where the test identified relapses a median of 7.3 months earlier than standard imaging. The SAGITTARIUS Phase III study for colorectal cancer showed that test results led physicians to alter treatment plans for one in three patients, reducing treatment intensity in 87% of those cases where no residual disease was detected. Additional data will cover breast, lung, and bladder cancers.
