Nathan Laverdure extradited to New Hampshire on sexual assault charges

Nathan Laverdure, 31, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, has been extradited to New Hampshire to face five sexual assault charges. The charges include three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault involving his niece.

The investigation began after the victim's parents discovered passages regarding the abuse in her diary. According to an affidavit, the alleged assaults began in May when Laverdure started living with the family and continued during a trip to Montreal. Police report that Laverdure used vapes to ensure the victim's silence and made threats to prevent her from reporting the incidents.

Laverdure was previously arrested in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, as a fugitive from justice. Under New Hampshire law, he is currently ineligible for bail.
