Nathan Neumann appointed Secretary of Communication for Santa Catarina

Journalist Nathan Neumann has been appointed as the new Secretary of State for Communication of Santa Catarina. Neumann, a native of Blumenau and a journalism graduate from FURB, succeeds Bruno Oliveira, who left the position to work on the governor's reelection campaign.

Neumann has a long-standing professional relationship with Governor Jorginho Mello, dating back to 2020 when he served as a communications advisor during Mello's tenure in the Federal Senate. He previously served as the deputy secretary of the department starting in April 2025. His professional background includes experience in television, radio, print journalism, and digital platforms, having worked with outlets such as NDTV Record TV, Rádio Nereu Ramos, and NSC.
