Nathan Tella and Chidera Ejuke score in club victories

Nigerian footballers Nathan Tella and Chidera Ejuke both scored significant goals in recent club victories.

Nathan Tella helped Bayer Leverkusen secure a 4-0 win against SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. Tella, who entered the match in the 65th minute, scored in the 69th minute to extend the lead to 3-0. Other goals for Leverkusen were provided by Patrik Schick and Lucas Vazquez, with Christian Kofane adding a fourth. Tella attributed his goal to tactical training regarding attacking movements and his connection with midfielder Ibrahim Maza.

In Spain, Chidera Ejuke scored a spectacular chip for Sevilla in their 3-1 victory over Athletic Club at San Mamés. The win moves Sevilla to the top of LaLiga with a perfect six points from two matches. Ejuke’s performance follows recent uncertainty regarding his future at the club during wage negotiations.
