Nathanaël Combary accused of being a political operative posing as student representative

Nathanaël Combary, presented by various media outlets as a representative of high school students, has faced allegations of being a political communicator rather than a student. Reports indicate that Combary has ties to the Macronist camp, having previously served as a parliamentary assistant for a Macronist deputy and participating in Gabriel Attal’s electoral campaign.

Combary is currently employed by Minerva, a communication agency led by Louis Jublin, an advisor to Gabriel Attal. He represents the group ‘Renouveau lycéen’, which critics describe as a ‘shell’ organization with minimal social media presence and no established membership, despite claims of existing since 2021. While Combary has engaged in dialogue with the Ministry of Education, critics argue his role serves to create a false sense of communication between the government and students during periods of protest.
