FC Bayern Munich signs Nathaniel Brown on five‑year deal
German midfielder Nathaniel Brown joined FC Bayern Munich from Eintracht Frankfurt in July 2026. The 23‑year‑old was transferred for a fee reported between €50 million and €55 million and signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2031. He will wear the iconic shirt number 11, previously worn by Kingsley Coman, after Michael Olise declined the number.
Sport director Max Eberl praised Brown as an “incredibly flexible” player and said he represents the future of the club. Eberl expects Brown to challenge the often‑injured left‑back Alphonso Davies for the left‑side position. Bayern also completed the summer market by signing Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven and confirmed that no further signings are planned. The club listed Joao Palhinha, Sacha Boey and Bryan Zaragoza as potential departures and rejected rumours of interest in Charles De Ketelaere. Eberl’s own contract with Bayern, running to 2027, is under review by the supervisory board.
