Nati Barraco, a music teacher and saxophonist in Río Cuarto, has gained viral attention for her pedagogical approach of incorporating cuarteto music into primary and secondary school classrooms. Since 2018, Barraco has used the genre to transform music education, moving away from traditional methods to engage students with culturally relevant sounds.
Her social media presence grew significantly after she began sharing videos of her students performing cuarteto classics, such as versions of ‘Carita Triste’ and ‘Soy Cordobés’. One notable project involved 100 sixth-grade students who performed live at the Municipal Theater of Río Cuarto, providing them with professional stage experience alongside their musical studies.
