NATIF to fund AI technology innovation tasks up to 3 billion VND

The National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NATIF) has announced it is accepting proposals for technology innovation tasks involving the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for 2026. Eligible legal entities and businesses can receive state budget funding of up to 3 billion VND per task, with a maximum implementation period of 12 months.

Rather than focusing solely on theoretical technological ideas, NATIF is prioritizing the ability to apply AI to solve specific, practical problems. Selected projects must demonstrate direct applicability, economic efficiency, or social benefits, contributing to productivity, competitiveness, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

Proposals must clearly define objectives, implementation methods, expected outputs, financial plans, and capital structures. A critical requirement is the management of data; applicants must specify data sources, accessibility, usage rights, and quality, as well as plans for data preparation. AI solutions must also meet specific technical standards, including Vietnamese language support and integration capabilities.
