National Association of Nigerian Students issues policy endorsements

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued statements supporting various federal government initiatives in Nigeria. The student body commended the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, for reforms in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), curriculum development, and digital literacy efforts aimed at preparing students for a technology-driven economy.

Additionally, NANS passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, following an inspection of federal road projects. A delegation led by NANS Senate President Ibeabuchi Onyia assessed the progress of several projects, including the Calabar Coastal Highway and roads linking Benue and Cross River states. The association noted that the projects appeared to be progressing to a commendable standard and expressed optimism regarding their potential to improve connectivity and economic access.
